SHEBOYGAN, Wisconsin (August 16, 2017) – Say Sip, Sip Hurray for an idyllic autumn getaway to the
4th annual Blue Harbor Craft Beer Festival (#BHRBeerFest) on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Sheboygan’s scenic Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center, Wisconsin’s #1 Lakefront Resort.
The stunning backdrop of the Lake Michigan shore combined with an outstanding collection of craft beers sets the Blue Harbor Craft Beer Festival apart from other events. More than 30 breweries are set to fill the festival tent with notable participants including Toppling Goliath (Decorah, Iowa), Half Acre (Chicago, Ill.), Karben4 Brewing (Madison, Wis.) and local brewers 3 Sheeps Brewing Company (Sheboygan, Wis.), 8th Street Ale Haus (Sheboygan, Wis.), Plymouth Brewing (Plymouth, Wis.) and new to the local line-up Switch Gear Brewing (Elkhart Lake, Wis.). Additional new breweries hosted at this year’s festival are City Lights Brewing Co. (Milwaukee, Wis.), Bell’s Brewery (Kalamazoo, Mich.), Stone Arch Handcrafted Beers (Appleton, Wis.) and Capital Brewing (Middleton, Wis.). Craft beers flavors will range from traditional and tasty craft brews and barrel aged beers to fun favorites like Oktoberfest, Chocolate Porter, Pumpkin Ale, Blueberry Vanilla Porter and a variety of ciders.
According to James Owen, co-founder of local brewery 3 Sheeps Brewing Company and Blue Harbor Craft Beer Festival co-sponsor, the event has a very impressive list of top craft breweries and beers in one location and in one event.
“A major reason for establishing this festival was to showcase Sheboygan as a major destination for craft beer. We’re excited that attendees of all palettes will be able to sample great beers that they otherwise perhaps wouldn’t be able to try,” said Owen.
Members of the craft beer industry have rallied to be part of this special event. Proud partners of the Blue Harbor Craft Beer Festival include 3 Sheeps Brewing Company, Johnsonville Sausage, Visit Sheboygan, and Pepsi – the official partner for the event’s designated driver program.
