Dubbed the “coolest beer festival around,” attendees are gearing up for the fifth annual Blue Harbor Craft Beer Festival on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Over 30 breweries are set to pour over 100 craft brews with Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center and the beautiful shores of Sheboygan’s Lake Michigan coast as the backdrop. Not only do festival goers get to enjoy a weekend at the #1 resort in Sheboygan, but they also get to try beers brewed by festival co-host, and Sheboygan’s own, 3 Sheeps Brewing Company.
Two Ways to Taste: VIP Experience and General Admission
Festival-goers can meet and greet with brewers, please their taste buds with beer and culinary pairings and take in live music by one of Sheboygan’s most well-known bands, The Honey Goats, with General Admission tickets. Looking to extend the fun and expand your pallet? Taste exclusive brews and enjoy an extra hour and a half of festival fun with a ticket to the VIP Experience.
A Sneak Peek at This Year’s Beers
If you have a love for stouts, keep an eye out for Untitled Art’s Waffle Stout and Sand Creek Brewing Company’s Oscar’s Chocolate Oatmeal Stout. Have your heart set on something a little more hopped up? Visit Octopi Brewing to try their HopRocket IPA or The Fermentorium for their Juice Packets IPA. For those that like a brew that goes down smooth, check out Karben4 Brewing’s Dragon Flute American Pale Ale, One Barrel Brewing’s Penguin Pale Ale, and Central Waters Brewing Company’s Honey Blonde Ale.
Breweries from Near and Far
From large distribution breweries to small batch wonders, this year’s festival boasts a diverse list of breweries from across the Midwest. Sheboygan favorite’s Plymouth Brewing Company, Sheboygan Beer Company, and Switch Gear Brewing Company are set to make a cameo at this year’s event. State lines won’t stop Deschutes Brewery, Odd Side Ales and Bell’s Brewery from attending this year’s fest. Bofferding and Ramborn Cider Co. out of Luxembourg and WarPigs Brewpub out of Copenhagen, Denmark are making the hop, skip and jump across the Atlantic. The fifth annual fest wouldn’t be complete without some of Wisconsin’s largest breweries including MKE Brewing Company and Hinterland Brewery.
