Mountain Bike Trail #4 on the Map

Distance: 9 miles

Four loops of challenging mountain bike tails total nine miles in Glenbeulah. The Greenbush trails dish out some tough Kettle Moraine singletrack. The glaciers that moved throughout his area left behind deep hollows with steep sides. This trail system provides lots of flow and plenty of rocks. Mountain biking throughout the Greenbush trails is fun but a rocky, roller coaster ride.

TRAVEL WI BIKING TOUR MAP ELKHART LAKE TO KIEL

Road Bike Tour #1 on the Map

Distance: 28 miles

The area around Kiel and Elkhart is among the prettiest of rural Wisconsin. A huge 180-degree bend in the Sheboygan River, the vast Sheboygan Marsh and rolling Kettle Moraine hills are backdrops for the area's many dairy farms. Your pedal through the countryside will be a roller coaster ride over moderately steep hills, each just high enough for a fine view and speedy run down. Near Kiel, an old road has been turned into a bike and pedestrian trail with great views of the Sheboygan River.

Interurban Trail

The route of the Sheboygan Interurban Trail is based on the Interurban railway that connected the City of Milwaukee to Sheboygan. During its operation, the Northern Route of the interurban line was also made famous for transporting African-American blues musicians to the main recording studio for Paramount Records recording label in Port Washington and ultimately in Grafton, Wisconsin.

Today, the Sheboygan Interurban Trail is a 14-mile paved and on-road trail that spans from the Ozaukee County/Sheboygan County Line to the City of Sheboygan. About 5.5 miles from the County line to the Village of Oostburg is off-road. The on-road sections traverse town roads with very, very low traffic volumes. About 1.5 miles of the on-road section traverses the main park road in the Kohler-Andrae State Park.

The Trail connects the Sheboygan County communities of Oostburg, Cedar Grove, and Sheboygan.

State Trail Pass

Trail passes are required for riders age 16 and older on many state trails. Wisconsin state trail pass fees are the same for residents and nonresidents. The annual pass is good for the calendar year and the daily pass is good for the day of purchase.

You can buy a state trail pass at a state park: Annual and daily admission stickers and state trail passes can be purchased at most Wisconsin State Park System properties via the following methods:

  • In person at a property drive-up window during office hours (credit cards, cash or checks accepted).
  • At a self-registration station, available at every state park, forest, recreation area and trail from 6 a.m.-11 p.m. daily (cash or check accepted).
  • At an electronic sales kiosk, available at many properties from 6 a.m. - 11 p.m. daily (credit cards accepted).
  • Via phone, by calling a local state park property office directly during office hours (credit cards accepted).

Buy at a DNR service center: State park stickers and state trail passes can also be purchased in person at open DNR service centers.

Additionally, a vehicle admission sticker is required on all motor vehicles stopping in state parks, forests and recreation areas.
