About Bookworm Gardens
Just eight minutes from Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, WI, Bookworm Gardens is a vibrant and playful botanical garden based on children's literature. Enriching for the mind, body, and spirit, the 70 different gardens are open May through October.
The young and young-at-heart can explore two acres of garden space for unstructured play in a beautiful and secure environment. Explore your favorite children's books, brought to life one garden at a time. Hop aboard the magic school bus, meet the three bears, and create your own world with Harold and a purple crayon.
Open for General Admission beginning May 1st, 2024. Register online or at the gate for a general visit and spend your day wandering around the gardens between 10am-4pm (May, September, October) and 9am-5pm (June-August).

So popular, we’ve made it 2 nights! Join us for a celebration of the spooky season at Boos & Brews, an electrifying event that promises festive delights! Wander through the bewitching grounds adorned with thousands of twinkling lights, creating a magical ambiance that sets the stage for an unforgettable evening. Adults only, age 21+. Event entry includes:
- Access to the Gardens decorated with thousands of twinkly lights
- Live music from Cold Soda Club (October 4) & Tangled Lines (October 5)
- Hot apple cider and festive beverages (for purchase)
- Toasty bonfire and delicious s’mores (for purchase)
- Food trucks (for purchase)

Join us for a delightful, not-so-spooky evening of furry fun at Happily Haunted Hounds, where you and your beloved canine companion are invited to strut your stuff in your most charming costumes! The Gardens will be transformed into a magical wonderland adorned with thousands of twinkling lights, creating a whimsical backdrop for an unforgettable gathering. This is the only opportunity to have your dog experience the magic of Bookworm Gardens! Event entry includes:

- Pumpkin walk
- Themed storytime
- Themed scavenger hunt
- Toasty bonfire and delicious s’mores (for purchase)
- Light concessions (for purchase)
5pm-8pm
Join us for not-so-spooky family fun at the Gardens! There will be thousands of twinkling lights, stories, scavenger hunts, a pumpkin walk, and costumes galore! Dinner fare, munchies, and festive beverages will be available for purchase. All children will leave with a treat bag, so keep your trick-or-treat buckets at home! Event entry includes:
