Holiday Season Reveal at Blue Harbor Resort

Here at Blue Harbor Resort, we take holidays pretty seriously. Having wrapped up our three weekends of spooky fun at BOO Harbor just a little over a week ago, we have been excitedly switching gears and preparing Holiday Fun for our guests. And now the time has come, it’s time to start planning your Holiday trip at The Blue! This year we have some returning favorite holiday events at the resort, and additionally, we will be revealing some debut holiday fun.

We’re kicking off the holiday season with Thanksgiving Dinner with a view. Join us in our Lakeside Terrace on the conference center side of the resort for a bountiful Thanksgiving Dinner! We have quite the selection this year, including wonderful charcuterie and fruit displays, a scrumptious orange beet salad, chef carved sage rubbed turkey, honey mustard roasted ham, and plenty of classic dishes like mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, sage rosemary stuffing, house-baked rolls, and more! We couldn’t forget about dessert either, our very own Great Lakes Bakes chef has been hard at work perfecting four classic autumnal desserts including apple pie, pumpkin pie, poached pear cardamom cake, and maple cheesecake. Wait a second, Great Lakes Bakes? You might be wondering “when did Blue Harbor Resort get a bakery?” Well, quite recently we launched Great Lakes Bakes for sale in Shoreline Café! Our bakery has an impossible-to-choose-one array of baked goods including homemade donuts, muffins, cookies, scones, Danishes, cakes, sweet breads, biscotti, & more! And everything is home-made in house, freshly baked. Feeling hungry yet? Check out some of these delicious creations!

There’s much more holiday food and beverage excitement around the bend, but before we dive into more of what’s ahead, here’s something you don’t have to wait to be excited for. Are you ready to sprint into the Christmas spirit? Well do we have the event for you! The popular Run Santa Run 5K is at Blue Harbor for the second year in a row! The race starts at 9am on Saturday, December 7^th, and registration is open up until the day of the race! What’s even more excellent is you can get 20% off your stay at Blue Harbor for Run Santa Run between December 5^th and 8^th by using promo code SANTA. This race is packed full of holiday fun! Participants get to choose an elf, Santa, or a penguin long sleeved shirt as well as matching hat and accessories for the run. Lace up, get decked out in holiday running gear, and attempt to beat the Grinch in a race around Sheboygan! The race ends at Blue Harbor, where your registration grants you two beverage tokens for the post-race party in Blue Harbor, hot chocolate, and Christmas cookies. This year, Blue Harbor will be undergoing a holiday transformation after Thanksgiving! Our employees are dreaming up tree-decorating ideas for our employee tree competition which will fill the main lobby come the first week of December! On The Rocks Bar & Grill is also getting ready for a holiday makeover as we prepare to debut our holiday bar! We truly mean “deck the halls” when we say it, our lobby and bar will be the destination for holiday cheer. Including for the little ones as well- each Saturday in December leading up to Christmas, we have Breakfast with Santa returning to The Beacon Restaurant! Make sure the kids pack their wish lists and holiday attire for meeting Santa. We cannot wait to host this magical holiday event. We hear that Santa has a special helper JUST for Blue Harbor too… but you’ll have to wait for next month’s blog to hear more about that.
