The Riveredge Farm

The Riveredge Farm is a four-acre sustainable agriculture site based on permaculture design, a holistic approach to food production that follows the principles of natural ecosystems. Prior to its acquisition by Riveredge, the soil on this farm had been exhausted, bare, and subject to heavy erosion. This project aims to restore the health and fertility to the land while generating valued crops. Farm produce is available for online ordering and in-store pick up. You can also volunteer on the farm!

In the Children's Farm, children can witness the garden's lifecycle in all seasons from planting seeds to decomposition. This garden is the focus of Garden Exploration school field trips, serves as an outdoor lab for a variety of other programs, and is home base for four Garden Wonders summer camps for children aged six to twelve. It's a magical place for children to use their imaginations, play hide-and-seek, and even spy on frogs and insects on the garden flowers.

The end of the year is a great time to give thanks for all the good in one’s life, and one thing we couldn’t be more thankful for is the amazing community of members who make Riveredge thrive. That’s why each Winter Solstice, we invite our members only to the Yule Log Dinner and Hunt, where we can share the bounty of another fantastic year at Riveredge and celebrate the return of winter with a member-exclusive event.

Feast on Yule Log stew made over a campfire with Riveredge Farm-grown root vegetables and sustainably raised beef. After dinner, light your candle lanterns and venture out together for a hunt for the Yule Log somewhere on the Riveredge land. End the evening with the annual cutting of the log, warm drinks, carols by the campfire, and maybe even a visit from Father Winter himself.

Vegetarian option can be made available. Please indicate food preferences/allergies during registration.
