We are excited to announce the inaugural Oktoberfest Great Lakes celebration in Sheboygan, WI on the shores of Lake Michigan! We are hoping to continue the tradition of our local Oktoberfest celebrations while elevating the experience all around town with festive events, delicious food and beverages, live music, and promotions at local businesses.

Oktoberfest Kick-Off Event

Friday, October 4th
7pm-10pm
Grand Ballroom at Blue Harbor Resort

We're kicking off the Oktoberfest festivities right here at Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, WI on Friday, October 4th with live polka music by the Sugar Bush Boys Band from 7pm-10pm in the Conference Center Grand Ballroom. We'll have a limited supply of 3 Sheeps Brewing Company Oktoberfest Beer on tap, while supplies last, as well as more 3 Sheeps products, domestic beers, and seltzers. Concessions will be open featuring brats, soft pretzels, and snacks.

Guests at the Oktoberfest Kick-Off event are HIGHLY encouraged to dress up in traditional Oktoberfest attire because one lucky attendee will win an overnight stay in our Best Dressed Contest held approximately at 9:30pm at the end of the event*!

A button is required for admission to this event and will be available in advance on Eventbrite for $10 each. This event is for guests who are 21 years of age or older.

Esslingen Fest

Celebrate Oktoberfest the authentic way at Esslingen Fest at 3 Sheeps Brewing Company Saturday, October 5th. This festival honors our relationship with Esslingen, Germany, Sheboygan, Wisconsin's sister city and this is our community's 8th annual celebration hosted by the Mayor's International Committee. They will have a brat fry, craft beer, raffles, and more. The event admission is FREE and open to the public.

You'll want to plan a full day at 3 Sheeps to catch the Mayor tapping the first keg at noon, enter the stein-holding contest at 2pm and 4pm with prizes for the winners, enjoy a broader selection of German Beers, and enjoy live music, including:

  • 5pm Hearthfire
  • 8pm Buffalo Joe Band

Blue Harbor Resort will be running a shuttle non-stop throughout the day so guests can celebrate safely!

Authentic German Cuisine

Al & Al's Steinhaus

Al & Al's Stein Haus has been a family owned and operated Sheboygan dining destination for over 58 years, serving breakfast and lunch all day in the tavern. Dinner is served Tuesday through Saturday in the Stein Haus Dinning Room. Visit Al & Al's during your stay for authentic German cuisine, beer, and wine.

Bookworm Gardens

For a different take on Oktoberfest, visit Bookworm Gardens for a celebration of spooky season with festive delights. Wander through the bewitching grounds adorned with thousands of twinkling lights, creating a magical ambiance that sets the stage for an unforgettable evening. This is an adults-only, 21+ event featuring live music from Cold Soda Club on Friday and Tangled Lines on Saturday. Hot apple cider and festive beverage available for purchase along with food trucks, a toasty bonfire and delicious s'mores. Tickets are $15-$21 and can be purchased in advance at bookwormgardens.org.

Beacon Restaurant at Blue Harbor Resort

Fuel your Oktoberfest weekend with our breakfast buffet in The Beacon Restaurant featuring seasonal chef's choice entrée, scrambled eggs with Wisconsin cheddar cheese, pancakes, French toast or waffles, seasoned potato wedges, bacon or sausage, and assorted cereal, yogurt and granola, cottage cheese, whole fruit, and assorted fruit Danish and breakfast sweet breads. Plus, Bloody Marys for  $10 each.

Plan a Return Trip for Concordia Fest

Return to Sheboygan in November for a wonderful afternoon of music, dinner, and gemutlichkeit! Concordia will be serving a delicious Oktoberfest dinner including a large smoked pork chop at 3:30pm.  Oktoberfest beer, wine, and soda will also be available with entertainment provided by Concordia's Chorus singing various selections in German and English as well as The Waltzmeisters orchestra music for listening and dancing.

The Concordia Singing Society was founded in Sheboygan in 1860 to preserve the German heritage through song. It has no religious or political affiliation and performs locally for audiences in churches, nursing homes, at community events, and club meetings.
